Friday,  June 6 - Designing for 3D printing
  • Learning Objective: You will be able to determine if a model is manifold. 
  • Essential Question: How can we make our designs "water tight"?
  • Classwork/Homework: begin designing a manifold and a non - manifold candle holder in SketchUp. 


Thursday, June 5: Brooklyn - Queens Day (No schools for students attending  nyc public schools in queens & Brooklyn)


Wednesday, June 4 - Prototyping by stacked slice method
  • Learning Objective: You will create a presentation board for your car stacked project. 
  • Essential Question: How can we enhance our presentation board?
  • Classwork/Homework: 1. Finish assembling your card prototype. 2. Use the  skp. file from the home page of the website to create your presentation board.  

Tuesday, June 3 - Prototyping by stacked slice method
  • Learning Objective: You will create a prototype by stacking and assembling slices. 
  • Essential Question: How can we maximize our team work to effectively and efficiently complete our model.
  • Classwork/Homework: Assemble you car prototype.

Monday, June 2 - Prototyping by stacked slice method
  • Learning Objective: You will be creating a prototype using stacked slice method.
  • Essential Question: How can we use stacked slice method to help us visualize a design?
  • Classwork/Homework: Complete the stacked slice cut out sheet in 123D Make  and Export the cut out sheets as a PDF.
