  • Learning Objective: You will be able to  develop increasingly more realistic models within a surface modeling environment. 
  • Essential Question: What does the "follow me" tool follow?
  • Class/Homework: Getting started with SketchUp tutorial 2 - complete the tutorial, save the .skp file to your Google Drive,  and submit it through our online form.


Wednesday, April 9 - Navigating in sketchup 3
  • Learning Objective: You will be able to animate a design. 
  • Essential Question: How can scenes and animation make a designer's work more effective?
  • Class/Homework: To be completed and uploaded into your Google drive folder
  1.  A video file of the "Scenes" you animated in the scavenger hunt.
  2. SketchUp file with "Scenes" - submitted using Google forms (this becomes homework if you are unable to submit in class)

Tuesday,  April 8 - Navigating in sketchup 2
  • Learning Objective:  You will be able to navigate in SketchUp.
  • Essential Question: What additional tools does SketchUp provide that can help us fine tune our design?
  • Class/homework: creating , naming, and organizing scenes in SketchUp.
  1. Open the  Scavenger Hunt Sketchup file you downloaded yesterday.
  2. Begin creating scenes
  3. Save and rename the file as R2_vA

Monday, April 7 - Navigating in sketchup 1
  • Learning Objective:  You will be able to navigate in SketchUp.
  • Essential Question: What additional tools does SketchUp provide that can help us fine tune our design?
  • Class/homework:  SketchUp Scavenger Hunt!
    2.  There are 25 models hidden within the scene!  Use SketchUp's tools of navigation (orbit, pan, zoom, zoom window, position camera, eye, and walk) to find as many as you can!  The group that finds the most gets a prize!
    3.  Keep track of where you found them on the model handout.  Tomorrow we have part 2 of the scavenger hunt - you'll need to be able to return to the models you found!
